ABOUT
TANYA EARL BUER, LMFT
Life is pretty wild. None of us asked to be here, and there’s no rule book for how to get through unscathed. At times, it can feel like too much to carry alone.
Hi, I’m Tanya. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who supports individuals through a wide range of concerns, with areas of focus including trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I offer a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that integrates psychodynamic and existential perspectives with evidence-based practices such as CBT. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you can feel grounded and supported as you identify your desires for your life, let go of what no longer serves you, and feel empowered to make meaningful change.
I received my BA in Psychology from Chapman University and my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brandman University. I have worked in a residential treatment center providing care to individuals recovering from substance use disorders and co-occurring diagnoses, and supporting survivors of sexual abuse and interpersonal violence. I have also worked in school-based counseling, supporting high-achieving students with performance-related anxiety, family stressors, peer dynamics, and other developmental challenges.
Outside of my professional life, I am a boy mom, dog lover, and avid reader who enjoys cooking, photography, and time with my family. I bring curiosity and compassion to my work, and I strive to create an environment where each client can feel seen, supported, and understood.
