Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees?

Each 50-minute session is $200.

Do you accept insurance?

I don’t currently accept insurance in my private practice. Some clients are able to get partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill (invoice) to their insurance company. I’m happy to provide this if you’d like to try.

Do you offer a consultation before starting therapy?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk through what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes. All sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, so you can meet with me from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

How long are sessions?

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Most people begin with weekly meetings, and over time we can adjust accordingly.

How long will I be in therapy?

It really depends on your goals and circumstances. Some people come for a few months to focus on something specific, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll collaborate to find what feels right for you.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
